Mahidol University, in collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, and the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Australia, organized an exceptional camp “DCU Global Youth Camp: Youth Voices in Digital Era” from 7th to 12th of January 2024 at Mahidol University, Salaya

 Mahidol University, in collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, and the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Australia, organized the DCU Global Youth Camp under the theme of Youth Voices in Digital Era from 7th to 12th of January 2024 at Mahidol University, Salaya.

On 7th January 2024, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, delivered a warm opening message to the participants consisting of students from 9 countries, with a total of 90 students. On this occasion, Dr. Chantarath Hongboontri, Lecturer, Applied Linguistics Program, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, also welcomed the participants at the Auditorium room, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Mahidol University, Salaya.

Principally, this event aimed to implant the concepts of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among the group of participants. The event featured a diverse range of activities, including module-based workshops, and lectures by the lecturers and mentors, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sumittra Suraratdecha, Acting Deputy Director for International Relations, Research Institute for Languages ​​and Cultures of Asia (RILCA), Mahidol University, in “Diversity and Inclusiveness”, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kaewta Muangasame, Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM), Mahidol University International College (MUIC), in “Financial Literacy and Economic Growth”, Dr. Toh Tai Chong, Director of Residential Life, College of Alice & Peter Tan, National University of Singapore, in “Biology and Environment”, and Dr. Michael Lane, Senior Lecturer (Information Systems), School of Business, University of Southern Queensland, in “Cyber-security and AI”, and the additional activities for this program was to visit cultural and innovation learning center in Chainat province,  Prachin Buri province, Phetchaburi province, and Bangkok.

From 10th to 12th of January, 2024, the participants had an opportunity to visit the Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus and join in a captivating field trip to various kinds of landmarks in Kanchanaburi province.
