On June 21, 2023, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, presided over the welcome ceremony. Assistant Professor Suchin Worawichawong, M.D, Assistant Dean for International Relations and Research Collaboration from Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, gave a welcome speech, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Jumpee Granger, Deputy Director for International Relations, Associate Professor Dr. Srisamorn Phumonsakul, Chair, Division of Maternal Newborn Nursing and Midwifery, executives and faculty members from Division of Maternal Newborn Nursing and Midwifery, Ramathibodi School of Nursing also welcomed Dr. Heike Roth, Midwifery Lecturer and 15 Midwifery students from University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia for a study visit under the student exchange program from June 10 to 30, 2023.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Streerut Thadakant, Deputy Director of Policy, Planning, and Management at Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital and Nursing instructor from the Division of Maternal Newborn Nursing and Midwifery, gave a lecture entitled “Midwifery education and practice in Thailand.”
The objectives of the study visit are to learn about the nursing system, midwives, and healthcare system in Thailand. Furthermore, to exchange cultures between the two institutions.
