Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, held an online training on “Teaching Professional Development for Nurses” during July 3-7, 2023.
On July 3, 2023, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, honored to preside over the training and gave a lecture on “Policy, concept, characteristic, current and prospective roles of nurse mentors, and nurse mentors with self and professional development.”
Registered nurses, nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, and nurse educators from hospitals and institutions, both public and private sectors in Thailand, participated in this training.
The objective was for participants to be able to explain concepts about health systems, and nursing processes, write nursing plans, explain concepts of learning and principles of teaching in real situations, explain principles and the processes of teaching in the clinic, and choose different clinical or community teaching methods. Moreover, to be able to plan appropriate nursing practice instruction to students and to be able to explain how to evaluate teaching and learning, using measuring tools and evaluating teaching and learning tools.
