On November 8, 2023, 10 first-year Bachelor of Nursing students from Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in an “Online Class” organized by Ishikawa Prefectural Nursing University, Japan. During the event, Instructor Dr. Jiraporn Lininger, Deputy Director for International Relations, participated in the event and gave a presentation on “Community Health Nursing in Thailand” to the nursing faculty and nursing students from Ishikawa Prefectural Nursing University, Japan, to understand the way of life of people in Thai communities, including healthcare, food and its impact on health, and the role of nurses in promoting the health of clients. The presentation received a lot of attention, with questions and opinions exchanged, which helped to broaden the understanding of the differences in well-being between Thai and Japanese people.
The objectives were to present institutions and exchange food culture, including exchange knowledge about hospital food from the two countries.
