5 students from Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medical Technology and Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University were selected to be a part of the student representatives from Thailand in ASEAN-Korea Youth Summit (AKYS) 2021 held by the ASEAN University Network (AUN), the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (MOGEF), and the National Council of Youth Organization in Korea (NCYOK). This year AKYS came up with the theme of “Inclusion and Integration for the ASEAN-KOREA community.” The program was divided into pre-activities and an official program.
The pre-activities were held on 8th, 22nd, 29th July and 5th August 2021. In this session, student delegates had an opportunity to share their facts and opinions about their countries in group discussions with other nations on 5 topics, which are
– The Coexistence between Humans and Nature: Action Plans for Carbon Neutrality Towards the Environmental Sustainability
– The Development of an ‘Untact (Contact-free)’ Society and the Changes in Youths’ Lives after the COVID-19 Pandemic
– Coexistence and Inclusion of People from Different Socioeconomic Classes and Status for Communal Values
– Inequality Reduction across Various Media Platforms: Towards Digital Inclusion
– Social Inclusion and Expansion of Boundaries on Gender Sensitivity”.
