MUIC students won awards in Thailand WHO Simulation 2020

9 students from Mahidol University International College (MUIC) attended World Health Organization Simulation on the topic of “Protecting Refugee and Migrant’s Health during COVID-19“. The event, organized by the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA) Thailand, took place on September 26-27, 2020 at Padtayapatana Building, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.

Best Delegate award was given to one of our students, Ms. Pin-anong Weesapen who is majoring in International Relations and Global Affairs (IRGA). Mr. Francis J. Bunkueanun Paothong and Mr. Jiravat Kunkitiyanon, both students from IRGA, together with Mr. Atiwat Rachatawarn majoring in Computer Science (ICCS) were awarded with an Honourable mention for their hard work and dedication.

Along with Ms. Pin-anong, Mr. Francis, Mr. Jiravat, and Mr. Atiwat, the MUIC delegate include Ms. Apinya Visalyangkul (IRGA), Ms. Suttawee Sriprom (IRGA), Mr. Tawhidulisam Amirul (IRGA), Ms. Chatrapee Artsomboon (IRGA), and Ms. Nuttanicha Phlongphan (IRGA).

Thailand WHO Simulation is an activity where participants represent their assigned countries while engage in discussion, debate, and negotiation in order to reach an agreement on how to address the pressing global health issue as an international community.
