Professor Chyi-Huey Bai, seven undergraduates majoring in public health and one postgraduate student from the School of Public Health, Taipei Medical University began their two-week Bilateral Exchange Student Program scheduled from August 18th to 30th, 2019 at the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University.
Opening Day, Associate Professor Dr Mathuros Thippayamongkolkul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Networking warmly welcomed the group and presented an overview of Mahidol University and the Faculty followed by the Welcome Lunch and tour of the Salaya Campus. At the Faculty, participants discussed several issues including Health System and Health Determinants and Alternative Medicine in Thailand.
The delegates also learned Urban Health Systems at Dindang Public Health Center, the Ministry of Public Health and reviewed Emergency/Disaster Response at Phramongkutklao Hospital.
Their site visits included the Golden Jubilee Medical Hospital where they had a hands-on workshop regarding Thai Traditional Medicine and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation.
They were also treated to cultural excursions at the Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn.
