On November 24, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over an opening ceremony of the “Leadership Training Program for Healthcare Providers,” the second cohort of the executive leadership training for public health personnel, held from November 24 to 28, 2025, in Thakhek, Khammouane Province, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Dr. Saowaros Kongcheep, Assistant Dean for Cooperation between Education and Nursing Services, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, and Instructor from the Division of Adult and Gerontological Nursing, delivered a report.
The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Sengthong Sermlamvanh, Vice-Director of Khammouane Provincial Health Department, together with Dr. Phonepaseuth Khampanisong, Technical Programme Adviser – Health and Nutrition Programme (LAO/035) from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
The program aimed to enhance knowledge, understanding, and leadership skills, enabling participants to effectively apply principles of strategic management, communication, team building, and change management in health service systems. The program was designed for physicians and other interested professionals from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
