The 27th Anniversary of Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus

On April 18, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thatchavee Leelawat, Vice President for Kanchanaburi Campus, presided over the ceremony to pay homage to the Royal Monument of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla on the occasion of the 27th Anniversary of Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus, which is commemorated annually on April 18. The event was attended by university executives and staff members. The activities included a tribute ceremony to the Royal Monument of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla, a Buddhist merit-making ceremony with monks chanting prayers, and the offering of food to the monks. In addition, an award ceremony was held to honor outstanding students, distinguished alumni, outstanding staff, exceptional researchers, and staff members who won medals in the 2025 Mahidol University Staff Sports Competition.
In this regard, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thatchavee Leelawat had the honor of presenting the awards, delivering congratulatory remarks, and expressing appreciation to the award recipients. On this special occasion, he also offered New Year’s blessings to the staff in celebration of Songkran 2025 (the Thai New Year). As part of the celebration, a traditional Songkran ceremony was held, where participants paid respect to senior administrators and esteemed faculty members through the water-pouring ritual at the Lecture Hall,Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus.
Moreover, the event featured a creative AI-generated image contest under the theme “Ignite Your Dreams with MUKA” in celebration of the 27th anniversary, encouraging participation from staff, students, and alumni to commemorate this milestone of Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus.
