On January 13, 2025, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, together with Prof. Wen Wang, Vice Principal for Science and Engineering Principals Office, Queen Mary University of London, the United Kingdom, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance academic and research collaborations between the two universities. In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, along with Dr. Jetsada Arnin, Assistant to the President for Education, Dr. Rapee Boonplueang, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, Prof. Alex Clark, Dean for International, and Professor of Mathematics, School of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Dr. Chinnapat Panwisawas, Senior Lecturer in Materials and Solid Mechanics, Deputy Director of Graduate Studies and Director of Materials Science and Engineering Programme, SEMS School of Engineering and Material Science (SEMS), Faculty of Science and Engineering, and the representative from Queen Mary University of London, the United Kingdom, came to witness the ceremony at the 523 Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
On this occasion, Mahidol University and QMUL joined in the discussion on academic and research collaborations which underlined the collaborations on Dual degree programme (2+2) in Digital Health, Soft Robotics, Bioengineering, and Sustainable Engineering, as well as Global Partnership programme (4+1), and Dual PhD Programme (2+2) in the fields of common interest with the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Prasit Suwannalert, Ph.D., Dean, Faculty of Science, Assoc. Prof. Thanapat Wanichanon, Ph.D., Dean, Faculty of Engineering, the executive teams and faculties of the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University also gave a warm welcome to the Vice Principal and the delegates from Queen Mary University of London, the United Kingdom, and explored further opportunities of collaboration.
