On August 26, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council at Mahidol University, welcomed a delegation from Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU), Taiwan.
During the visit, the two universities discussed potential areas of academic cooperation and future collaboration. Dr. Somkiat Tangkitvanich, President of the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), also participated in the meeting, while its venue was the Dr. Somsak Leesawadtrakul Conference Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The LHU delegation further engaged in academic discussions with Dr. Petch Sajjacholapunt, Deputy Dean for Administration and Human Resources, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer Associate Professor Dr. Surachoke Thanapitak, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
Key discussion topics included student exchange programs, scholarships, and joint academic initiatives, especially in engineering with a focus on semiconductors. The Faculty of ICT also highlighted its advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related technologies.
