Mahidol University Participates in the 7th ASEAN+3 Rectors’ Conference in Can Tho, Vietnam.

During 19 – 20 November 2025, Mahidol University, represented by Asst. Prof. Thatchavee Leelawat, Ph.D. Vice President for Kanchanaburi Campus participated in the 7th ASEAN+3 Rectors’ Conference held in Can Tho, Vietnam. The conference was organized under the theme “Beyond Borders: Strengthening Networks, Sharing Excellence, and Advancing Sustainable ASEAN+3 Collaboration.” Its main objective was to promote meaningful dialogue and strategic cooperation in addressing shared regional challenges in higher education.

The program featured sessions led by distinguished speakers, covering key topics such as Advancing Health Equity, Climate Resilience, Biosecurity and Sustainable Agriculture, and Innovation. Asst. Prof. Thatchavee Leelawat, Vice President for Kanchanaburi Campus also took part in the Applied Research & Cluster Dialogues, contributing to discussions on Climate Resilience, Water, and Environmental Sustainability.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Executive Secretary of AUN-HPN, delivered a lecture titled “Advancing Health Equity: Best Practices and Future Directions for ASEAN+3.” Her session highlighted important areas including Digital Health and Inclusive Infrastructure for Wellbeing, Youth Wellbeing, Campus Mental Health and AI-Empowered Support Systems, and Collaborative Governance for Health Equity in Higher Education.
