On 23 June 2025, Mahidol University welcomed a delegation from Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST), People’s Republic of China, for a discussion on expanding academic collaboration, particularly with the Faculty of Science. The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, alongside Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watthana Weerachatyanukul, Deputy Dean for Educational Innovation and Salaya Campus, Faculty of Science, and Prof. Dr. Jitlada Sakdapipanich, Faculty Member, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science. The session took place at Meeting Room 308, Office of the President, Salaya Campus.
The QUST delegation included Prof. Wu Mingbo, Vice President; Prof. Zhang Shuhai, Dean of the School of International Studies; Prof. Lyu Chengchao, Dean of the College of Economics and Management; Prof. Lin Zhiquan, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation; Prof. Liu Zhiming, Vice Dean of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; and Prof. Liu Minqi, Interpreter, International College.
Discussions focused on potential collaborations in key areas such as polymer science, student exchange programs, academic cooperation, and the development of joint initiatives with other faculties and departments at Mahidol University.
This visit marks an important step in strengthening academic ties between Mahidol University and leading institutions in China. It is in line with Mahidol University’s strategic vision to enhance global academic connectivity, foster research collaboration, and promote international learning experiences—underscoring its role as a globally engaged university committed to real-world impact.
