On September 10, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over the event and lectured on “Innovative Digital Technology Adapted to Nursing Education and Training: The Future of Nursing.” Dr. Chuenjit Junsawang, an instructor from the Division of Fundamental Nursing, and Assistant Professor Dr. Suphanna Krongthaeo, Assistant Director for Technology, Digital, and Information, as speakers on the topic “Online Development and Virtual Reality in Nursing Education.”
Associate Professor Dr. Noppawan Piaseu, Deputy Dean for Health Promotion, Faculty of Medicine RamathibodiHospital, Mahidol University, and instructor from the Division of Community Health Nursing, along with Professor Kei Kamide, Dean of Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, Division of Health Sciences, as speakers on the topic “Screening for Sarcopenia in Older Thai and Japanese Adults Living in the Community.” Associate Professor Dr. Supreeda Monkong, Deputy Director for Graduate Studies, was the moderator.
Associate Professor Dr. Natthacha Chiannilkulchai, an instructor from the Division of Adult and Gerontological Nursing, lectured on “Nursing Innovation from Problems to Products: A Perioperative Nursing’s Journey.” Sumawadee Skuntaniyom, RN, from the Infection Prevention and Control Services, Ramathibodi Hospital, lectured on “Thai Hand Hygiene Audit Application,” and Chutirat Sonpee, APN, from the Nursing Service Division, Ramathibodi Hospital, lectured on “Tool for Forecasting the Probability of Contracting COVID-19”. Dr. Chatsiri Mekwiwatanawong, an instructor from the Division of Community Health Nursing, was the moderator.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Acting Vice President for Research at Mahidol University and Acting Director of the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (iNT), gave a lecture on “Future Technologies and Innovations for Healthcare: Challenges for Nurses.” Assistant Professor Pichaya Thongpo, President of Rama Nurse Alumni and Instructor from the Division of Adult and Gerontology Nursing, was the moderator.
Ramathibodi International Academic Conference (RIAC) 2024, with the theme “Beyond Boundaries: The Intersection of Technology, Innovation, and Healthcare,” aims to publicize the academic works as well as knowledge gained from the development of medical, nursing, research, and innovations that lead to teaching and learning, and medical treatment of patients, which affects effective medical practice in the future.
