On March 14, 2024, at Soros Room, 2nd floor, Thailand Post Office – Panurangsri Praisaniyakarn Building, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) hosted a significant event as Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., representing the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in the Signing Ceremony marked the collaboration for a Feasibility Study and Pilot Program supported by the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). Among the esteemed witness were notable figures including H.E. Mr. Prasert Chanthararuangthong, the Minister of Digital Economy and Society; H.E.Mrs.Gina Raimondo, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce; H.E. Mr. Robert F. Godec, the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand; Mr. Kevin Toohers, Regional Manager, Southeast Asia and the Pacific of USTDA; and Clinical Professor Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).
This collaborative effort aims to introduce Wi-Fi 6E connectivity technologies at the Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute (CNMI), an extension campus of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital. This initiative will demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of Wi-Fi 6E technologies, showcasing their potential to enhance digital solutions in healthcare settings. This pilot project exemplifies the advantages of next-generation Wi-Fi technologies and seeks to pave the way for their widespread adoption in public sector health facilities throughout Thailand, ultimately contributing to the nation’s progress and well-being.
