On November 26, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Sompop Prathanturarug, Ph.D., Vice President for Quality Development and Social Engagement, Mahidol University, extended a warm welcome to Prof. Atsushi HAMANA, President of Kansai University of International Studies, and Prof. Takahiro SAITO, Head of Evaluation Department, Office of Management and Planning, Osaka University, Japan, at Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
During the meeting, the discussion focused on how Mahidol University responds to the social changes, regulations, and policies of the government in the context of its operations, with a particular emphasis on Quality Assurance (QA). On this occasion, the delegation participated in the Mahidol Quality Fair 2024, themed “Operations Towards Sustainability” as well.
The visitation was a component of an observational study in a research project which particularly proposes to compare the standards for university establishment and establishment approval systems for the universities and colleges in key countries.
