Mahidol University Hosted the Representatives from the Embassy of Denmark for ASEAN-EU Green Team Europe Initiative

On 2nd September 2024, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Acting Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, gave a warm welcome to Ms. Saida Ahmidou Boukaddid, Development Cooperation Counsellor, Mr. Martijn van der Burgt, Advisor for EU Funding Development Cooperation, and Ms. Danielle Mans, from the Embassy of Denmark to Indonesia, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea & ASEAN, for a significant meeting focused on the development of the ASEAN-EU Green Team Europe Initiative: Transition to a Regional Circular Economy. In this regard, Prof. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, together with Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Executive Director of ACSDSD, Dr. Anthony Pramualratana, Deputy Executive Director, ACSDSD, the directors and staff of the Office of the President, Mahidol University, and the representatives from the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) gathered in the meeting at the OSM1 Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus

The primary objective of the gathering was to provide instruction and facilitate discussions on the process of developing a project under the ASEAN-EU Green Team Europe Initiative, where participants exchanged insights and explored the capacities of the partner institutions. This initiative operated by the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies in collaboration with ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD), aims to transition to a regional circular economy. This collaboration underscores the commitment of both Mahidol University and the Embassy of Denmark to advancing sustainable development and fostering international partnerships within the ASEAN region.
