Mahidol University Participated in the ASEAN-Korea Biohealth Networking Day 2024: “Moving Toward Asia: A New Era in Global Biohealth” at the Republic of Korea

On 30th September 2024, Mahidol University, led by Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, President, participated in the ASEAN-Korea Biohealth Networking Day 2024, centered around the theme “Moving Toward Asia: A New Era in Global Biohealth”, at CHA BIO Complex in Seoul, the Republic of Korea. Joining him were Assoc. Prof. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Acting Vice President for Research, Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Clin. Prof. Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Prof. Suradej Hongeng, Deputy Dean for Special Affairs, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, and Asst. Prof. Somponnat Sampattavanich, Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

The event aimed to foster networking and advance research in Biohealth and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products across the ASEAN region and the Republic of Korea. Representatives from both government and private sectors of Thailand also participated in this significant gathering.

Highlighting the importance of the event, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, along with Dr. Kwang-Yul Cha, Chairman of CHA Medical Group, delivered a congratulatory speech to the participants, emphasizing the potential for collaboration in enhancing biohealth initiatives. This was followed by speeches from Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, President, and the representatives from Mahidol University.
