The Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Welcomed the Minister of the Parliament of New South Wales (Australia), the Governor of Bangkok (Thailand), the Delegation from the Australian Embassy (Thailand), and the Representatives from Cochlear Limited (Singapore)

On 2nd July 2024, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, FACP, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, together with Clin. Prof. Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Emeritus Prof. Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D., Advisor to the Dean for International Relations, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, followed by the administrators, faculty members and staff of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, altogether extended a warm welcome to Hon. Mr. Anoulack Chanthivong MP, Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections, Parliament of New South Wales, Australia, along with Mr. Chadchart Sitthipunt, Governor of Bangkok, Thailand, Ms. Julia Feeney, Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Kyril Estrin, First Secretary (Investment), Ms. Amelia Walsh, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner and Minister-Counsellor (Commercial), Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), and Ms. Busarin Sinthunavarat, Senior Business Development Manager (Health and Consumer sectors), Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) from the Australian Embassy, Thailand, Mr. Rahul Singh, Country Manager for Thailand and Malaysia, and Mr. Tanawat Detchanarat, Business Manager for Thailand from Cochlear Limited (Singapore Branch), Singapore. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss academic and research collaborations, including the progress report presented by Dr. Jitpakorn Pichaitanaporn, Ph.D., Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and Instructor of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Dr. Sittiprapa Isarangura, Ph.D., Instructor, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, and Ms. Sivaporn Kiatthanabumrung, M.D., Instructor, Department of Otolaryngology, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, on the ASEAN Hearing Hub project as well as Cotutelle Ph.D. Programmes development, a joint research unit which was initiated by the cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital of Mahidol University, and Macquarie University, Australia. Additionally, the discussion also explored other potential collaborations between Mahidol University and Australian universities. This meeting took place at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Phayathai Campus.
