On June 30, 2023, Mr. Daniel Pieter Adisorn Vijfwinkel, a fourth-year nursing student and Central region nursing student representative, participated in the International Council of Nurses (ICN) Student Assembly (SA) with the theme “Nursing Students as the Next Generation of Health Equity and Social Justice Leaders.” Nursing student representatives from more than 134 countries around the world participated in this assembly to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and build networking among the nursing student representatives. This year, the student assembly focused on exchanging aspects of the nursing role in climate change, the important role of the next generation of nursing students in building equitable health systems, and leadership to encourage social justice.
On this event, travel grants were given by the Nurses’ Association of Thailand to participate in the student assembly and the 29th ICN Congress 2023 with the theme “Nurses Together: A Force for Global Health” in Montreal, Canada, from July 1 to 5, 2023.
