CDP Alumnus’ Senior Project Wins Design Award

The Communication Design Program of MahidolUniversity International College (MUIC) announced that one of its alumni, Mr. Poovakorn Watcharaphongphiphat (Class of 2019), won the Iron A’Design Award for A’Public Awareness, Volunteerism, and Society Design Award 2021-2022 during the A’Design Award & Competition for his senior project, “Roi-Re.

Roi-Re” is an online exhibition website focusing on stories of old-style Thai street vendors through a series of animated illustrations that include a physical exhibition display and augmented reality (AR) pop-up kiosks, to explore the hidden stories of various historical locations in Bangkok, such as Charoen Krung Road.

The A’Design Award & Competition states in its website said that it is “one of the World’s largestmost prestigious and influential design accolades, one of the highest achievements in design.”
