MUIC Launches New Creative Technology Program

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized an MOU Signing Ceremony between Mahidol University, MUIC, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Ratchasuda College, and College of Music for the launching of the new Bachelor of Arts and Science in Creative Technology program on November 14, 2020.

Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., MU President, presided over the ceremony which was attended by MU executives, along with Assoc. Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, M.D., MUIC Dean, and her executive team; Wachara Riewpaiboon, M.D., M.Sc., Dean of Ratchasuda College; Dr. Narong Prangcharoen, Dean, College of Music; Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology; Dr. Choak Bulakul, Group Managing Director & CEO of Farm Chokchai Group; and Mr. Oliver Kittipong Veerataecha, Chief Brand and Communication Officer, True Corp. Public Co. Ltd. The event was held at Studio A520, Aditayathorn Building, MUIC.

This program is the first transdisciplinary program offered by Mahidol University that incorporates courses in computer science, transmedia design, and communication design.

With its combination of arts and sciences, the program aims to prepare its students for newly emerging career opportunities of the 21st Century. In addition, this program offers additional curriculum flexibility to customize individual learning choices using MUIC’s distinctive I-Design electives as well as the program’s electives offered by MUIC, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Ratchasuda College, and College of Music.
