Associate Professor Dr Julie Kornfeld, Vice Dean for Education, Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health visited the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University as the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health ASPPH representative.

After meeting with the Dean, Associate Professor Dr Chanuantong Tanasugarn and FPH Executive Members, Associate Professor Dr Mathuros Tipayamongkholgul introduced the FPH including study programs.

This was followed by a special talk on “Pedagogic Innovations for Doctor in Public Health” by Associate Professor Dr Julie Kornfeld.
Dr Kornfeld toured the Phaya Thai campus including the Central Laboratory, International Student Center and Rajvithi Library led by Assistant Professor Carol Hutchinson.

Tha afternoon following lunch, Dr Kornfeld discussed and summarized possible steps to follow with Dean Tanasugarn.
ASPPH is a membership organization headquartered in Washington, DC with the mission to strengthen the capacity of members by advancing leadership, excellence, and collaboration for academic public health. Its members include over 120 CEPH-accredited schools and programs of public health as well as schools and programs in applicant status for CEPH-accreditation.
