On 23rd of July 2019, MUIC initiated its very first of a series of 7 workshops as part of the project entitled “Learning Forward”. The purpose is to collectively work towards a common goal which is ‘Flexible Education’. In an effort to do so, the weekly workshops will be bringing together MUIC faculty members with diverse backgrounds and expertise over a period of 7 weeks’ starting from the 23rd July 2019 until the 3rd September 2019.
The very first workshop on 23rd July 2019 brought together over 40 participants including Chairs and Program Directors of six different divisions such as Business Administration, Fine and Applied Arts, Humanities & Languages, Social Science, Tourism & Hospitality, and the Science division as well as the Director of the Preparation Center (PC). The workshop incorporated several design thinking techniques to generate the most diverse ideas to discover new and innovative approaches in education. This is our very first step towards flexible education.
The project will be running on a weekly basis where the team will tackle one key issue at a time. It will also serve as a platform to bring diverse divisions together within MUIC and promote interaction among them for the true sustainability of MUIC in this increasingly disruptive world.
