MoU with PTV Group

On September 11th, 2018, Engineering faculty of Mahidol university signed MoU with Planung Transport Verkehr, abbreviated as PTV, Asia-Pacific Private Limited Company. PTV Group improves mobility and transport using world-class software, data, and tacit knowledge gained from four decades of experience in planning and optimizing the movement of people and goods. According to Germany`s Manager Magazine, PTV ranks among the top 1000 global market leaders in Germany.

On January 9th, 2019, Omid Ejtemai, the Regional Managing Director of PTV Group,Phimphun Ovasith,  the Business Development Manager of PTV Group, Dr. Saratcahai Ongprasert, VP TEAM Group, and Nakorn Chantasorn, Former Acting Governor of State Railway of Thailand visited Asst. Prof. Dr. Waressara Weerawat, the Deputy Dean of Cluster of Logistics and Rail Engineering (CLARE).

The CLARE was established in 2017. It is a very young but a flourishing department with several publications, events, international guests and international visits, projects, namely UK-TH MetroExchange, Research project with Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP), The Freight Transport of the Future supported by British Council Researcher Link Fund, Barriers to eLearning in rail, and SmartMetro project. Finally, I would like to proudly mention the three Memorandum of Understandings with Bombardier, Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), and recently with PTV Asia-Pacific Private-Limited Company.

We hope that the new collaboration creates a window of opportunity to further pave the way to success and wish the CLARE and PTV Group long-term partnership.
