On 8 March 2019, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, Acting President, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Acting Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, welcomed Prof. Shinya Funakawa, Dean of Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies and the delegation from Kyoto University, Japan. Also joined in the session were Mr. Yasunari Ueno, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan in Thailand, Mr. Kuniaki Yamashita, Director of JSPS Bangkok Office and the representatives from Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies.
The purpose of the visit was for Prof. Shinya Funakawa and the delegation to pay a courtesy call to President Mahaisavariya and participate in the Kyoto University Opening Symposium: On-site Laboratory at Mahidol University on Environmental Studies at the Faculty of Engineering.
