Mahidol University International College (MUIC) signified its support for the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria (GSTC) when Assoc. Prof. Phitaya Charupoonphol, MUIC Dean, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dr. Nalikatibhag Sangsnit, Director-General of Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), at the Royal Thai Army Club on August 30, 2018.
The GSTC are guiding principles and minimum requirements that any tourism business or destination attempts to reach in order to protect and sustain the world’s natural resources while at the same time supporting the tourism industry.
