On April 9, 2025, Mahidol University, through the ASEAN University Network on Health Promotion (AUN-HPN) Secretariat, participated in the 14th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee Meeting held at the Kamphon Adulwittaya Conference Room, 50th Anniversary Information Building, Kasetsart University (Bang Khen Campus), and virtually via Zoom.
Assoc. Prof. Vichita Ractham, Vice President for Corporate Communication, Mahidol University, alongside Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Executive Director of AUN-HPN, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Asst. Prof. Chirawath Phatsara, Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University and Chair of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee for 2024-2026 and Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University and Asst. Prof. Ratchot Chompunich, Vice President for Student Affairs and Sustainable Development, Kasetsart University.
The committee members included Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, M.D., Advisor of TUN-HPN; Prof. Dr. Narin Hiransuthikul, M.D., Advisor of TUN-HPN; Dr Prakasit Kayasith, Senior Assistant CEO and Acting Director of Partnership and International Affairs Section, ThaiHealth; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations and Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN; and other TUN-HPN Committees Key discussion points at the meeting included a summary of activities conducted by the Thai University Network for Health Promotion in the past year, the report on participation in the Healthy University Rating System (HURS) for 2024, and the operational plans for the Thai University Network for Health Promotion under the project to enhance the health promotion capacity of universities in the AUN-HPN network.
The operations of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network (TUN-HPN) are funded by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) to support universities in Thailand in developing their potential and becoming leaders in health promotion. Furthermore, the AUN Healthy University Framework (HUF) aims to be fully implemented across Thai universities to help achieve the goal of creating “Healthy Universities,” thus contributing to the sustainable promotion of good health within the community. The network also works to drive health promotion policies and expand both domestically and internationally through learning, collaborative research, and network expansion. The TUN-HPN meetings are scheduled to be held every three months.
