June 26, 2009, 09:00 AM HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn laid the foundation stone for a new auditorium of Mahidol University, Salaya Campus and ride around campus on a tram.
1. From Pollute car to Friendly Tram

As an academic institution with broad disciplines, including medical, public health, science and technology, social studies, environment, management, religious studies, sports, and learning innovation, Mahidol University has the obligation to produce high caliber graduates.
Salaya campus is the location more than 30 Offices/Centers/Faculties/Colleges. Thus, it hosts diverse student activities. Since commuting on campus is very high, the university plans to develop and improve the road system as well as public transportation system for the students and personnel. The transportation should be effective, unique, and appropriate for the surroundings. With these reasons, the university plans on-campus trolleys that will service inside the Salaya campus. A total of 16 trolleys is available, and is divided into 3 routes:
The goal is to transport the students, personnel, and related individuals as well as reduce the vehicle usage on campus. Suggestion and recommendation regarding the service can be made at the Security Office Physical and Environment Division, Phone No. 02-441-4400.
