Solar Cell

Energy produced by solar panels at Ramathibodi Hospital.

Town Hall Solar on the 9th floor of the Sciences and Medical Technology building, Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. Solar power systems which convert sunlight into electrical power was installed during 2010. Total capacity 19.65 MW.
Wind turbine on the 8th floor of of the Sciences and Medical Technology building, Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. It is a device that converts kinetic energy from the wind into electrical power, it can reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere which is the primary greenhouse gas and global warming that is contributing to recent climate change. Distinctive characteristics of the vertical axis wind turbines installation are also know as small-scale wind energy sources. Their primary characteristics are three aerodynamic blades facing the wind each blade has a length of about 3 meters.
Electricity generation around 2 kWh which will start producing electricity at wind speeds of 2.5 m/s. With the additional advantage of being located of the building with relatively high wind speed most of the day. Electricity produced was supplied to the building electric power system to be used immediately.

Energy generated from Solar Cell is used to power the Boilers

Use automatic control instrument for lighting and electric appliance

  • Lighting at corridor
  • Electronic fan in toilet
  • Air conditioner

Providing separate switch control of the lights obtaining spot energy consumption such as installing a light bulb switch pull rope.
